This month we had a visit from Bandi Bear, the official mascot of the Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation.
Brighter Lives is the official charity of Townsville Hospital and Health Service. They support lifesaving public health services in Townsville and across our region by fundraising for world-class equipment, training, research, and facilities.
As a part of their program, Brighter Lives offers a rewards app for healthcare workers. The concept is along the lines of Groupon or the entertainment book.
Launched in early 2022, participating businesses provide an offer/incentive for Queensland Health workers as a way of giving back to our local health worker heroes.

Nice Threads has been involved in the Brighter Lives rewards app since its inception, so we were so excited to have Bandi Bear and his friends arrive on our doorstep earlier this month!
It was great to meet the team responsible for making such a significant impact in providing medical equipment, resources and services to Townsville Hospital and Health Service, and in improving patient outcomes and experiences.
If you would like to become involved, as well as the Brighter Lives Rewards app, the program also holds various fundraising events throughout the year including the annual Charity Ball, Book Fair, Community Wall Planner & Giving Days.
